Introduction

American football is one of the most popular and physically demanding sports in the United States. How the Game is Played.

The game is played between two teams of 11 players on a 100-yard field with end zones on both sides.
Teams alternate between offense and defense, with the offensive team trying to advance the ball toward the opponent’s end zone to score a touchdown (6 points) or a field goal (3 points).
The offensive team has four downs (attempts) to gain 10 yards. If successful, they get a new set of downs; if not, possession is turned over.
The defense aims to stop the offense by tackling the ball carrier, intercepting passes, or forcing a fumble.
