Skateboarding

Skateboarding - The Ultimate Street Sport
Introduction
Skateboarding is a dynamic and creative sport that blends balance, skill, and self-expression. Originating in the 1950s in California, it has evolved into a global phenomenon, with street and park styles dominating both competitive and recreational skating.
From skateparks to city streets, skateboarding is more than just a sport—it’s a culture with deep roots in fashion, music, and urban life. It made its Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020, cementing its status as a mainstream sport.
How the Games is Played
Skateboarding is about performing tricks, controlling the board, and using urban landscapes or skateparks creatively. The sport is divided into two main competition styles:
Street Skateboarding – Skaters perform tricks on stairs, rails, ledges, and other obstacles.
Park Skateboarding – Skaters ride in deep, curved bowls or halfpipes, focusing on aerial tricks and fluid motion.
Basic Movements & Tricks:
Ollie – The foundation of most tricks, where skaters jump with the board.
Kickflip & Heelflip – Tricks where the board flips while in the air.
Grinds & Slides – Balancing on rails or ledges with the trucks (grinds) or board (slides).
Airs & Spins – High-flying tricks done in skate bowls and ramps.

Key Rules & Scoring
In competitions, skaters are judged based on:
Difficulty – How technical and challenging the tricks are.
Execution – Clean landings and fluidity.
Creativity – Unique combinations and use of obstacles.
Style – Overall control and smoothness.
Events usually consist of multiple runs or a set number of tricks, with the highest-scoring ones counting towards the final score.

About The App
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
